Sexual Assault Support Services for Women of S.D.G. & A is seeking a Volunteer and Public Education Coordinator for a full time position starting May 1st 2017, closing date April 14th, 2017.

Sexual Assault Support Services for Women of SDG&A in a non-profit organization providing free and confidential services to women 16 years and older who have experienced sexual violence.
In this position, you will develop and implement Public Education Events and will work closely with our community of volunteers. You may be required to sit on various committees related to and in support of your work. You will also be required to promote our services in a variety of location in SDG&A –Travel will be required.
A degree or diploma in social work, or work in the non-profit sector is an asset
Must have an understanding of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and incest
Excellent understanding of feminist perspective and violence against women
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Strengths in community development & event organization
Skills at Social Media , Web development and HTML is an asset
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
